Car alarms and security

Most insurance companies are now demanding that owners of many makes and models of vehicles fit certain alarms or immobilisers to their vehicles before they are eligible for insurance cover.

Never try to install your alarm or monitor yourself. High quality alarms and immobilisers are very difficult and confusing to install. This is to make them difficult and confusing for thieves and vandals to “uninstall” them

Many alarms and immobilsers will only give you one chance to wire them correctly. If you make a mistake installing one of these it could render your whole alarm or immobiliser useless.

And if your car is stolen or damaged despite it having an alarm or immobiliser you need to have the confidence that your insurance company will compensate you for your loss. Don’t jeopardise your Insurance payout – have a technician install your alarm or immobiliser.
